Google Adsense Help: how to fix an ad block showing just one ad
Google Adsense users ask: I have 2 ad units on a webpage on my site. For example, one is a 120x600 or a 160x600 tall skyscraper, and the other is a banner. After looking at these webpages, there are no text ads anymore. Instead, the skyscraper is showing just one really long ad, and the banner could be showing 1 wide ad. How can i fix it and what's going on?

Cause #1: not enough google adwords ad publishers for your content: What happens in this situation is clear: Google doesn't have enough ads from their advertisers for your content. in that case, Google with only display just one to two ads if that's all it has to offer.
In this case, the google adsense adblock will definitely look 'weird'. I'd suggest going to an ad block format, when you display no more than the number of ads Google can deliver.
You can easily test it by just looking at your current ad blocks and counting the number of ads. For example, if for your 'blue widget' content on a page Google adsense can only display 3 ads, use one 250x250 block, or two small blocks.
Cause #2: Google's CPM ads: By Google's Description: CPM stands for "cost per 1000 impressions." Advertisers running CPM ads set their desired price per 1000 ads served, select the specific sites on which to show their ads, and pay each time their ad appears. These CPM text ads will expand to the whole entire ad unit. Therefore, what you'll see is one big ad instead of many small ads in one rectangle or a banner adsense ad.
